Injured Marist, Takes Care of North Springs & Kennesaw Mountain
Despite being down two and a half players, the Marist Lady War Eagles Volleyball team dug deep to walk away with wins over North Springs and Kennesaw on Monday. Originally scheduled as the 7 o'clock game, Marist first took to the court against North Springs and defeated the Spartans 25-7 and 25-14 to get the 2-0 win. The Lady War Eagles immediately faced Kennesaw Mountain following their win over North Springs and defeated the Mustangs 25-14 and 25-16 to get the 2-0 win. "We played with a modified line up tonight. We played really well and with a lot of teamwork and focus and used a lot of of our defense so that we could run our offense and take the other team out of their system," assistant coach Karen Arndt said of the Lady War Eagles play on Monday night. The Lady War Eagles will be off until September 20 when they'll face Blessed Trinity.
