Sunday afternoon, Christian Armstrong, a 4-star offensive tackle from Warner Robbins High School in Warner Robbins, Georgia announced via Twitter that he committed to Florida State University. “I would like to announce that I have decided to continue my athletic and academic career at Florida State University,” Armstrong said on social media. The announce comes as no shock to many close to Armstrong and his family as the Seminoles have been the one program that Armstrong has considered to be the front runner for quite some time. Offers for the 6-foot-6, 291 pound tackle have come from Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Florida, and Penn State, but it was Florida State, who had been eying Armstrong for a while. As to his decision to commit to the Seminoles, Armstrong said he “felt comfortable” with FSU and that he believes offensive line coach Rick Trickett “is a great developer of his players.” With Armstrong committing to the Seminoles, the FSU Class of 2018 now jumps up to No. 8.
