Texas High School Calls On Female Coach For Boys Soccer Head Position and Football Assistant

San Marcos High School in San Marcos, Texas has named Lisa Mazur its head coach for their boys soccer team and an assistant coach for their varsity football team. Mazur has not coached since 2009, when she stepped down as head coach of the MacArthur High School girl soccer team. Mazur coached at MacArthur for twelve successful years and was named San Antonio's "Coach of the Year three times, as well as led MacArthur to the state playoffs three times. The San Marcus athletics department credited Mazur's "extensive championship experience" along with her "zeal for life" in helping them choose her for the two positions. Mazur also added that "I believe in hard work and push my players to always give their best." In her assistant role with the varsity football team, Mazur will coach the punters and kickers.
