Panthers Remain Undefeated In Region Play As Langston Hughes Sweeps Creekside & Tri Cities
As the end of the regular season coming to an end, the Langston Hughes Lady Panthers looked to remain undefeated in region play as they hosted the Creekside Seminoles and the Tri Cities Bulldogs.
The Seminoles would take the first stab at handing the Panthers their first region loss but the Panthers would take full control in the first set of the match, jumping out to a 9-2 lead and not allowing the Seminoles to get within less than six points as they would go on to win the first set 25-17.
In the second, the Seminoles would start off the aggressor as they would take an early 2-1 lead and hold onto the lead for the first several serves. But the Panthers would get things going after tying up the set at 5-5. Langston Hughes would then jump out to a 12-6 lead but the Seminoles would fight their way back into the contest and tie the set at 20-20.
The Panther would then score the next two points and go on to win the set 25-21 to complete the sweep of the Seminoles and would also sweep Tri Cities later in the day to remain undefeated in region play. Watch highlights below.
