Demons Stay Unbeaten As Warner Robins Sneaks Out 52-49 Win Over Coffee

The Friday night lights high school football match up between the Warner Robins Demons and the Coffee Trojans was all that we expected it to as the two teams slugged it out all the way down to the final seconds of the game.

In the first quarter, the Trojans would strike first as Coffee's Jarquavious Jeffereson would pick off Warner Robins' Dylan Fromm for a pick six as Coffee takes an early 6-0 lead. Jaeven West would help the Demons answer back quickly as he would score on a rushing touchdown giving the Demons a 7-6 lead.

As the first half continued, despite going up 14-13 in the second quarter, Warner Robins would find themselves trailing 27-21 at the half. As the second half got underway, the Demons would respond with a 28 point third quarter and take a 49-27 lead into the fourth quarter.

But in the fourth quarter, it would be the Trojans scoring big as they would score 22 unanswered points to tie the game at 49-49 with less than three minutes to go in the game. On the ensuing possession, the Demons would use up the clock down to :10 to go in the game and get within field goal range for kicker Eli Mashburn.

And Mashburn would make good on the 35 yard field goal to give the Demons the 52-49 lead and the win as Warner Robins improved to 6-0. Watch highlights from the game below.
