On Monday, four-star safety Kwantel Raines of Alquippa High School in Alquippa, Pennsylvania announced his commitment to the West Virginia University. Raines, class of 2018, told Rivals.com’s Adam Friedman that comfort and loyalty led to his decision to join the Mountaineers. “I decided to pick West Virginia because they were the first school to give me an opportunity,” said Raines. The 6-foot-3, 200 pound safety also added that he “really liked” where the position they would have him playing and that he would get to play “a lot all over the field” and move around. “I think it will be a good fit for my family and me to go there,” said Raines.
