Mill Creek Hawks, Westminster Wildcats Go Head To Head In The Water
The Mill creek Hawks would travel to face the Westminster Wildcats in the Hawks second competition of the season, while it would be the first for the Wildcats. The Host Wildcats would open up the meet with a win in the Boys 200 Medley Relay by the team of Aidan Linkins, Chris Staley, and brothers Cole and Connor Hinkes in a time of 1:42.59. In the girls version of the 200 Medley Relay, the Lady Hawks would take the top spot for Mill Creek with the team of Isabelle Andrews, Mia Walters, Bailey Williams, and Claire Grant. They would finish in a time of 1:55.25. Individual events, Mill Creek's Collins Sainovich would take first in the Boys 200 Free Style in a time of 1:46.57, while Westminster's Samantha Bertschi would take first in the Girls 200 Free Style in a time of 1:57.64. The Hawks would also get a first and second place win in the Girls 200 Individual Medley courtesy of Mia Walters (2:17.01) and Bailey Williams (2:18.14). The Westminster boys would take the top three spots in the Boys 50 Free Style led by Connor Hinkes (:22.62) followed by Chris Staley (:22.91) and Donovan Mitchell (:23.43). Through the first eight events the Wildcats would hold the combined points lead 108-102, while the Lady Hawks held a 61-44 lead over Westminster and the Westminster Boys led the Hawks 64-41.
