Panthers Ground Eagles, Carver-Atlanta Rolls Past Columbia 36-0, Headed To Round 2 of GHSA 5A State

As the opening round of the Georgia High School Association State Playoffs began on Friday, the Carver-Atlanta Panthers hosted the Columbia Eagles in round one of the Class 5A playoffs. Thanks to a stingy defense and a high powered, quick scoring offense, the Panthers were able to jump out to a 36-0 first half lead and go on to win by that score.

The win would allow the Panthers to advance to the second round of the GHSA 5A playoffs where they will face Flowery Branch, who only suffered two losses during the regular season.
