South Atlanta Hornets Sting Grady Knights With 83-48 Pre-Season Win

The defending 2017 Georgia High School Association Class 2A State Champions, the South Atlanta Hornets, took to action on Tuesday in a pre-season match-up against the visiting Grady Knights. The Hornets, only returned three players from last year's championship team, Dondre Barnes, Jalen Stegall, and Ja'Quavian Florence but looked pretty tuned up against Grady as they would get out to an early 13-3 lead in the first quarter.

The Knights would battle back to get within three points as they trailed 17-14 at the end of the first quarter thanks to a buzzer beating two point basket from Franky Fernandez.

In the second quarter, the Hornets would once again jump out to a ten point lead as they would go up 23-13 and go on to build their lead to as much as 20 points. South Atlanta would cruise to a 83-48 victory in the tune up game. Watch highlights from the game below now!
