Morgan County, Mays, Winners In Day One of Hard In The Paint Tournament
The Under Armour Hard in the Paint: Give Back Tournament kicked off in Atlanta, Georgia the day after Thanksgiving at Mays High School. The tournament featured over 20 schools from Georgia, North Carolina, Florida, and Maryland.
In the Morgan County Bulldogs, Westlake Lions match up, the Lions would take a 34-33 lead into the locker room at halftime, but the Bulldogs would outscore the Lions 11-1 to open up the third quarter and take a 44-35 lead. The Lions would fight back to get within five points, trailing 60-55 late in the fourth quarter, but the Bulldogs offense would stay hot and Morgan county would pull out the 67-61 victory.
Game two coverage feature host school, the Mays Raiders, taking on KIPP Academy and it would be all Mays as the Raiders would jump out to an early 14-2 first quarter lead and go on to win by a final score of 66-39.
