Douglass Astros Pick Up 79-35 Win Over Lithonia Bulldogs Behind Thompson's 32 Points

The Douglass Astros Girls basketball team would improve to 2-3 on the season after getting a 79-35 victory over the Lithonia Bulldogs on Tuesday night.

The Astros' Nekiyah Thompson would lead all players with 32 points as Douglass had full control of the game by halftime and continued to maintain that control taking a 46-21 lead early in the third quarter. The Astros would later increase their lead to 30 points after going up 56-26 early in the fourth quarter on their way to the the win.

The victory snaps the Astros three game losing streak as they get ready for their next match against rival, the Washington Bulldogs when they host them on Friday. Watch highlights from the game below now.
