Panthers Get The Best of Tigers As Forest Park Hands Tucker A 62-44 Loss
In what could be a preview of the region championship game, the Forest Park Panthers traveled to face the Tucker Tigers on Saturday. The Panthers would get out to an early 8-3 lead but the Tigers would go on an 8-1 run to close out the first quarter with a 12-9 lead.
In the second quarter, the Panthers would tie the game at 15-15 and keep it a close contest through out the period but the Tigers would take a 31-27 lead into the locker room at the half. I the third quarter, the Panthers would outscore Tucker 12-4 and lead 39-35 going into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth, Forest Park would take control of the game and once again outscore the Tigers, this time 23-9 and cruise to a 62-44 victory. Forest Park's Sarah Matthews would be the game's highest scorer with 18 points, while teammate, freshman Sania Feagin chipped in 13 points. Watch highlights from the game below now!
