Kayla McPherson's 25 Points Helps Lead Madison County to 60-55 Conference Win Over St. Pius

As conference play begins to gear up, the St. Pius Lady Golden Lions girls basketball team hosted the Madison County Lady Raiders as both teams came into the night 1-0 in conference play.

The Raiders would jump out to an early 14-2 lead in the first quarter and build their lead to 14 points by the half as the led 29-15 going into the locker. Madison County's Kayla McPherson would have 14 points at the break.

In the third quarter, St. Pius would cut the Raiders lead down and trail by five, 31-26 but McPherson and the Raiders would heat up defensively forcing several turnovers by the Golden Lions and go on to win by a final score of 60-55.
