McEachern Cruises To 71-18 Win In Opening Round of GHSA 7A Girls Basketball State Playoffs
On the opening night of the Georgia High School Association basketball state playoffs, the McEachern Lady Indians, ranked No. 4 in the state, hosted the Etowah Lady Eagles in 7A action.
On a mission to win their fifth consecutive state championship, the Indians would jump out to a big lead early 11-3 first quarter lead. The McEachern defense was relentless on the night, causing several turnovers by the Eagles which led to many fast break points for the Indians.
McEachern would actually hold Etowah scoreless in the fourth quarter. Jewel Small would lead all McEachern scores with 13 points while Chanel Wilson chipped in 11 and Jasmine Carson would throw in nine points. Watch highlights from the game below now!
