On Saturday, Georgia's No. 1 ranked girls basketball team, the Westlake Lady Lions continued on their quest to win the Georgia High School Association 7A girls basketball state championship as they faced off against a tough North Forsyth Lady Raiders, who ranked No. 11 in Georgia.
The first three quarters of the game would be like a heavy weight boxing match between Mohammad Ali and Joe Frazier as the two teams would go back and forth with several lead changes and neither team able to muster more than a four point lead.
But in the fourth quarter after North Forsyth took a 36-34 lead, the Lady Lions would get a few defensive stops to help swing momentum their way as they would go on a 9-0 run and take a 43-36 lead late in the final period of play.
Westlake would never relinquish their lead from that point and go on to win by a final score of 52-44. Watch highlights from the game below now!
