It's Back To Back Titles For Wolves As Wesleyan Defeats Holy Innocents 61-44 For GHSA 1A Private

In a rematch from the 2017 Georgia High School Association, then 2A Championship game, the Wesleyan Lady Wolves took on the Holy Innocents Lady Golden Bears in the GHSA 1A Private state championship game.

In the early goings of the match up, the score would remain relatively close but as the opening quarter cam to a close, the Bears would go on an 5-0 run to take a 14-11 lead to end the first quarter. However, in the second quarter, the Wolves would go on a run of their own.

After trailing 17-14, Wesleyan would go on a 8-0 run and take a 22-17 lead and hold a 27-22 lead at the half. The Wolves would continue to build their lead in third and fourth quarters and go on to win the GHSA 1A Private state championship 61-44 over Holy Innocents for their second consecutive title.

Sutton West led the Wolves with 17 points and Kaila Hubbard led Holy Innocents with 18 points. Watch highlights from the game below now!
