North Paulding Dominating 12-3 Win Over Dunwoody, On To Second Round of GHSA 6A-7A Lacrosse State Pl
On the opening round night of the Georgia High School Association 6A-7A boys lacrosse state playoffs, the Dunwoody Wildcats hosted the North Paulding Wolfpack in would looked to be an evenly matched competition as both teams ranked in the top 50 in the state. As the contest got underway, the Wolfpack would make the first statement scoring back to back goals, the first by Reid Usree and the second by Dylan Hicks, to take an early 2-0 lead.
The Wildcats did not appear to be phased by the quick scoring offense of North Paulding as they would score after a Carson Bregitzer goal and cut the Wolfpack lead to 2-1. Following the Wildcats score, the Wolfpack would go on the attack, outscoring Dunwoody 5-1 throughout the remainder of the half led by Ryley Cole and Kyle Light and take a 7-2 lead into the locker room at the halftime.
In the third quarter and fourth quarter, the Wolfpack would continue to dominate offensively as Cole and Light would combine for eight of the 12 North Paulding points as they defeated the Wildcats 12-3.
