Trinity Episcopal's Armando Bacot Headed Down I-95 South, Transferring To IMG For Senior Season
Late Sunday evening, Trinity Episcopal's Armando Bacot confirmed on Twitter that he will be transferring to basketball powerhouse, IMG, for his final year of high school basketball. Bacot, a five star center, confirmed his transfer after retweeting a couple of tweets stating that the 6-foot-10, 240 pound center was headed south to Bradenton, Florida. "I'll always be a Titan for life," Bacot said in one of the retweets in which he also thanked the school. Ranked the No. 22 overall player in the USA Today's Chosen 25 for the class of 2019, Bacot helped lead the Titans to a Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division Istate championship in his sophomore season, also earning all Metro honors that year. And in his junior season, Bacot averaged 24.5 points per game along with 11.5 rebounds and helped the Titans reach the state semi-finals where they lost to Bishop O'Connell, but Bacot finished with 45 points. Last month, Bacot was part of the U18 national team, which won gold at the FIBA Americas U18 Championship. The Duke Blue Devils and North Carolina Tar Heels are among some the programs who have been recruiting Bacot.
