War Eagles Make It Three In A Row As Woodward Defeats Wesleyan 2-1

On Tuesday, coming off two straight wins, the Woodward Academy Lady War Eagles hosted the Wesleyan Lady Wolves, who looked to bounce back from their 2-0 loss to North Gwinnett. As the War Eagles celebrated their senior night, they would win set one to get the festivities going.

But in set two, the Wolves would take an early 3-1 lead and despite the War Eagles managing to tie the set up 3-3, Wesleyan would outscore Woodward 22-13 down the stretch to win set two 25-16. The War Eagles would not let dropping set two ruin their senior celebration though.

In set three, the War Eagles would take a 2-1 lead however, would later find themselves down 4-2 early on but would quickly tie things up at 4-4 and go one to outscore the Wolves 11-5 from that point to win the set 15-9 and win the match up 2-1 for their seniors final regular season home game.
