Wolfpack Ends Titans Perfect Season As Greenbrier Defeats Drew 3-0, Advances To GHSA 6A Third Round

As the Georgia High School Association Class 6A volleyball state playoffs continued on Wednesday, the undefeated Drew Lady Titans played host to the Greenbrier Wolfpack who finished the regular season at 38-8 overall record.

The Wolfpack got a chance to get a glimpse of the Titans a week ago when they both played their opening round match ups at Drew High School and that sneak peek was enough for the Wolfpack to put together their strategy to take down the Titans.

In the first set, Drew would maintain an early lead but Greenbriar would manage to overcome the deficit and take the lead and go on to win the set 25-19. in the second set, Drew would lead 2-1 and later 4-3, but would struggle to keep possession of the serve and Greenbrier would take set two 25-16.

In the third and what would be the final set, the Titans once again put up a fight, but the Wolfpack would withstand their attack and pull away for the 25-12 win and take the match up 3-0 to advance to the third round of the GHSA 6A playoffs and end Drew's perfect season.
