It's Four Titles In A Row For The Raiders, Walton Defeats Milton 3-0 For GHSA 7A Championship

On what was to be a historic night for the Walton Lady Raiders volleyball team, the Walton Raiders took on the Milton Lady Eagles in the Georgia High School Association Class 7A state championship game.

The Raiders have won their last three championship appearances so a win tonight would make in four straight title wins and the thirteenth in school history. Out of the gate, the Raiders appeared to be in control as they would take a 3-0 lead in set one and later go up 21-11 before winning the set 25-14.

In set two, the Raiders continued to control the match as they would win the set 25-15. In set three, the Eagles would keep the contest close early on, but after a 4-4 tie, the Raiders would outscore Milton 21-10 down the stretch for a 25-14 win of the set and a 3-0 win of the match to claim their fourth consecutive GHSA state title.

Performances by Gabby Gonzales, Caroline Cheney and Reilly MacNeill were ones to be noted as they helped propel the Raiders to victory. Watch highlights from the match up below now!
