Historic Win For Pythons as Paideia Defeats W.D. Mohammed 58-20
On Saturday, the Paideia Pythons hosted the W.D Mohammed Caliphs in girls high school basketball action. The Pythons came into the match up with a 7-0 record and a win over the Caliphs would give them their first 8-0 start in school history.
In the first, the Pythons and the Caliphs would both get off to a relatively slow start but Paideia would have momentum swing in their favor as junior Christina Walker would drive the lane and score, beating the buzzer to end the quarter.
Paideia would open up the second quarter on a 9-0 run , as Kai Carter would begin to catch fire scoring seven of the points to help give the Pythons a 20-7 lead. The Pythons would not look back as in the third quarter, Walker and Carter team up to help Paideia extend to a 39-13 lead and on to a 58-20 win. Paideia improves to 8-0 with the win, which is the first time in school history. Watch highlights from the game below now!
