Berkmar Wins "Patriots Game", Defeats Heritage 61-55 In Tournament of Champions Holiday Cl

In one of Georgia's premier high school basketball tournaments, the Heritage Patriots and the Berkmar Patriots clashed in the night cap of the Tournament of Champions Holiday Classic Showcase. As the game got underway, the score would remain close early on as both teams struggled to find any type of offensive rhythm.

However, it would be Heritage that would maintain a small lead throughout the first quarter and would gain some momentum thanks to a buzzer beating three point shot by Trelan Scott to give Heritage a 13-5 lead at the end of the opening period. The momentum would carry over into the second quarter for Heritage as they would go up by as many as 15 points when they took a 20-9 lead following a Josh Guilford three pointer.

Despite the deficit, Berkmar would fight their way back into the contest, outscoring Heritage 19-12 in the third quarter and tie the game up as the score would wind up 39-39 heading into the fourth and final period. And in the fourth quarter, Berkmar would once again outscore Heritage, this time 22-16 and go on to pick up the 61-55 win. Watch highlights from the game below now!
