Wildcats Show They Got Game As Lovejoy Defeats Holy Innocents 64-46
On the second day of the 2019 She Got Game Classic, the defending Georgia High School Association Class 6A State Champions, the Lovejoy Wildcats took on the 2018 GHSA 1A Private runner up, the Holy Innocents Golden Bears.
As the game got underway, Genesis Bryant (16 points) would help spark things for the Wildcats as she would come up with a steal and drive down the court the other way to score and put the Wildcats on the scoreboard first.
After closing out the first quarter down 19-12, the Golden Bears open up the second quarter on a quick 5-0 run to cut the Wildcats lead down to two as they trailed 19-17. Later, after Holy Innocents would once again cut the Lovejoy lead to two, back to back three point baskets by Bryant and Anaya Boyd (15 points) would push the Wildcats up to a 27-21 lead midway through the second quarter.
Lovejoy would go on to close out the second quarter with a 40-25 lead and go on to pick up the 64-46 win. J'auana Robinson would also chip in 12 points for the Wildcats as they improve to 15-3. Watch highlights from the game below now!
