Astros Hold Off Knights For 51-42 Win As Douglass Wins Seventh In A Row

Coming off their 56-29 win on Friday night, the Douglass Lady Astros traveled to face the Grady Knights in a non-region match up. In the first quarter, the Astros would get out to a six point lead but the Knights would pull within four to close out the quarter trailing 12-8.

In the second quarter, the Knights would get within three of the Astros with sisters Trinity and Jade Lewis along with Jaliyah Lett leading the way to cut Douglass' lead to 20-17, but a quick 6-0 run would have the Astros closing out the first half up 26-17.

In the fourth quarter, the Knights would once again make another run this time resulting in Grady tying the game at 38 a piece after a three point basket by Jade Lewis. However, down the stretch, Kayla Sesberry (15 points) would help push Douglass on to a 51-42 win. Watch highlights from the game below now!
