Rams Extend Win Streak To 15 As Grayson Defeats Berkmar 67-53
On Monday, the Grayson Rams took on cross town rival the Berkmar Patriots in the annual Dream Challenge Invitational. After a sluggish start and a 6-6 tie, the Rams, coming into the match on a 14 game win streak, would close out the first quarter on a 12-3 run take a 18-9 lead.
In the second quarter, Grayson would continue to control the tempo and extend their lead to as much as 14 points before taking a 33-24 lead into the locker room at the half. In the second half, after the Rams would go back up by 13 points, the Patriots would outscore the Rams 15-11 to cut the Grayson lead down to 44-39.
In the fourth quarter, Berkmar would continue to chip away at the Grayson lead and open up the period on a 10-6 run to cut the Rams lead to one and would trail Grayson 50-49. From that point, the Rams would go on a 8-0 run and take a 58-49 lead. Grayson would later go on to get the 67-53 win. Jevon Tatum for Grayson would finish with a team high 15 points.
