War Eagles Return the Favor As Woodward Defeats Salem 66-57

On Saturday, in a key Georgia High School Association Class 4A Region 4 match up, the Woodward War Eagles hosted the Salem Seminoles. Back in December, the Seminoles defeated the War Eagles 67-63, but coming into the match up, the War Eagles were riding a three game win streak and looked to even the season series with Salem by picking up a win.

In the first half, the game would remain relatively close but after cutting the War Eagles lead to 12-11 at the start of the second quarter, the Seminoles would get outscored 12-4 and trail 24-15 at the half. In the third quarter, the War Eagles would turn up the offense, going up by as many as 18 points. Woodward would go on to pick up the 66-57 win. Watch highlights from the game below now!
