Indians Claim GHSA 7A Region 3 Title As McEachern Defeats North Paulding 73-55

On Saturday, in the championship game of the Georgia High School Association Class 7A Region 3 championship game, the McEachern Indians took on the North Paulding Wolfpack.

The Indians swept the regular season series over the Wolfpack and looked to make it three in a row Saturday night. North Paulding would come out hitting on all cylinders in the first quarter including back to back three point baskets by Kevin Wiath that would give the Wolfpask a 6-4 lead, but an 11-5 run by the Indians from that point would give McEachern a 15-11 lead at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, the Indians would open up the period outscoring the Wolfpack 15-2 to take a 30-13 lead and have the game's momentum swing completely in their direction as they would pick up the 73-55 win. The win would help McEachern clinch the GHSA 7A Region 3 championship and secure a number one seed for the state playoffs. Watch highlights from the game below now!
