Seven Goals For Eric Malever As Woodward Academy Defeats Decatur 16-7

On Wednesday, the Woodward Academy War Eagles boys varsity lacrosse team hosted the Decatur Bulldogs. The match up would be the second game of the season for the War Eagles and the season opener for the Bulldogs.

In the first quarter, the War Eagles would jump out to an early 3-0 lead but the Bulldogs would eventually score and make it a 3-1 game in favor of Woodward. However, the War Eagles' Eric Malever would go on a tear scoring four of Woodward's next six points to help the War Eagles take a 9-1 lead.

Malever would later score three more goals to finish the night with seven and help the War Eagles pick up the 16-7 win over Decatur. Woodward improved to 2-0 to start the season, while Decatur opens up 0-1. Watch highlights from the game below now!
