Lions Off To 2-0 Start As Lovett Defeats Marist 20-10

On Friday, the Lovett Lions boys lacrosse team hosted the Marist War Eagles. The Lions, coming off a 17-1 win in their season opener, got off to a quick 3-0 start but the War Eagles would respond and score back to back goals and trail 3-2 minutes into the first period.

However, that one point margin would be the closet that Marist would get to the Lions as Lovett would close out the first quarter with a 5-2 lead. After outscoring the War Eagles 4-2 in the second period, Lovett would hold a 9-4 lead at the half.

Despite being able to score themselves, Marist would not be able to stop the Lovett offense as the Lions would outscore Marist 8-3 in the third quarter and 6-3 in the fourth and go on to get the 20-10 win. Watch highlights from the game below now!
