Bulldogs Punch Ticket To GHSA 6A Title Game As Tri Cities Defeats Brunswick 83-74
In the second game of the day at the University of West Georgia, the Tri Cities Bulldogs took on the Brunswick Pirates in the Georgia High School Association Class 6A boys basketball semi finals.
For most of the first quarter, the contest would remain close, but the Bulldogs would lead the entire way going up by as many as 10 when they led 20-10. However, the Pirates would go on a 10-3 run to cut the Bulldogs' lead to three as they trailed 23-20 at the end of the first quarter.
Despite many efforts by Brunswick, the Pirates were never able to get within more than three points of Tri Cities, while the Bulldogs would continue to lead the rest of the contest, with their largest lead being a 19 point advantage. Led by Titus Hunter (28 pts) and Da'Marcus Johnson (20 pts), Tri Cities would go on to pick up the 83-74 win to advance to the GHSA 6A championship game. Watch highlights from the game below now!
