Lions Even Season Series With Knights As Lithia Springs Defeats Grady 7-2

After picking up an 11-0 win on Wednesday over the Lithia Springs Lions, the the Grady Knights varsity baseball team hosted the Lions on the second half of a home and home series. Lithia Springs started the game off strong scoring six runs in the first inning including an RBI singles by No. 14 Xander Kyzar and later in the inning, No. 2 Kyle Girard as the Lions took a 6-0 lead in the first.

In the second inning, the Lions would pick up another run and the Knights would respond with a run of their own thanks to a solo homerun by No. 23 Andrew Gossett to make it a 7-1 game in favor of Lithia Springs. The Knights would pick up another run in the bottom of the sixth, however, it would be the Lions bouncing back from Wednesday's shut out to pick up the 7-2 win!.
