Ann Wright Guerry Wins In Singles Return But Westminster Falls To Marist 3-2
On Wednesday, the Westminster Wildcats girls tennis team hosted the Marist War Eagles. In singles one action Westminster's Ann Wright Guerry returned from injury, after being out six weeks due to a stress fracture in her foot, to face Marist's Ansley Reynolds.
In set one, after going up 2-0, Guerry would find herself down 40-love on point three but would battle back to win the point taking a 3-0 advantage. She would go on to win the set 6-1. In set two, Guerry would control the set all the way to a 6-0 win as she picked up the win in her first match since returning from injury. However, the WaR Eagles would win the match up 3-2.
