Trojans Suffer First Loss of the Season As Roswell Defeats Lassiter 11-9
On Tuesday night the Roswell Hornets boys lacrosse teams hosted the Lassiter Trojans. The Trojans came into the match up undefeated on the season and their offense going quickly as Eli Ensor (4 goals) opens up the game scoring their first goal to give Lassiter the early 1-0 lead.
Shortly after, the Trojans' Braden Erksa (3 goals) takes a smooth cut to the goal for a nice pass from Ensor and gets a goal as the Trojans go up 2-0. Lassiter.'s Ensor would keep the momentum going getting another two goals for the Trojans putting Lassiter up 5-0. Roswell would eventually get on the board thanks to a Connor Moore goal and then two more goals by Cade McLeod and Alex Gekas help the Hornets go into halftime trailing 7-3.
In the second half, Roswell would go on a 5-1 run to tie up the game at 8-8 and then another goal by Aiden Picquet would give the Hornets their first lead of the night as they went up 9-8 However, Lassiter's Colson Smith would manage to score a goal to once again tie the game at 9-9. However, Roswell would finish out by scoring two more goals and go to win by a final score of 11-9. Watch highlights from the game below now!
