Back To Back Again For East Coweta's Kelley Lynch, Earns Gatorade Georgia Softball Player of the
On Thursday, the Gatorade Company continued its 34 year celebration of honoring the nation’s best student athletes. In Georgia, for the second year in a row, the 2018-2019 Gatorade Georgia Softball Player of the Year nod went to the East Coweta Indians’ pitcher, Kelley Lynch for the second year in a row. The honor comes on the heels of Lynch helping lead the Indians to their second straight Georgia High School Association Class 7A stae championship. During the 2018-2019 season, Lynch went 17-0 with a 0.27 ERA allowing only 18 hits and 13 walks. Lynch also contributed from the plate batting .436 with 25 RBI’s and three home runs. Gatorade also acknowledges the accomplishments each winner’s performance off the field and in the classroom, Lynch has maintained an A average and has volunteered her time with Toys for Tots, the Special Olympics and other organizations. Lynch has signed her letter of intent to play for the Washington Huskies this upcoming season.
