Myles Murphy, Arik Gilbert Round Out Top Ten of USA Today Top 250
Just days after releasing their 2020 Chosen 25, USA Today released their Top 250 2020 High School Football Player Recruiting Rankings with several players out of Georgia making the list, two in the top ten. The Hillgrove Hawks' defensive end and Clemson commit, Myles Murphy came in at No. 3 and at 6-foot-5, 275 pounds with a 40 yard dash speed of 4.65, Murphy will be sure to wreck havoc on offenses in his final season of high school football. At No. 10 on the list is tight end Arik Gilbert of the Marietta Blue Devils program. Still undecided, Gilbert is considered to be the top tight end in the nation of the class of 2020. Programs such as Georgia, Clemson and Alabama are all in pursuit of the 6-foot-6, 245 Gilbert as he possess great speed and hands. Other notable players from Georgia making the list were Lithonia's Brodrick jones, Callaway's Tank Bigsby, and Rome's Tate Ratledge. USA also previously released their 2019 Super 25 Preseason High School Football Rankings with the Marietta Blue Devils being the only team from Georgia making the list at No. 9. With senior quarterback and Tennessee commit, Harrison Bailey leading the way, many predict the Blue Devils will make a deep run and possibly claim the Georgia High School Association Class 7A state title.
