PSN Spotlight: Douglass Astros Football Looking To Take It Further In 2019
In 2018, the Douglass Astros had one of their best seasons in years as they finished up 10-2 overall and 6-1 in their region and advanced to the second round of the Georgia High School Association Class 2A state playoffs where they lost to Heard County. With their first game of the season just over a week away, the Astros are getting set for the start of the 2019 season and if you ask Head Coach Rodney Cofield, despite losing some key players from last year's team, with returning quarterbacks Quadarius Sterling and De'Andre Watson along with the addition of Quintavious Lockett at running back, the Astros are very optimistic about their chances of having another great season and going even further in the GHSA 2A playoffs this season. We recently caught up with Coach Cofield and the Astros at a recent practice to talk about their expectations. Watch our exclusive PSN Spotlight on the Douglass Astros below now!
