Jones County Third Round Bound of GHSA 5A Softball Playoffs After Sweep of Lithia Springs

On Wednesday, the Georgia High School Association softball state playoffs continued as the Lithia Springs Lions hosted the Jones County Greyhounds in second round action of a best of three series. In game one, the Lions would get their bats going early as they would take a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.

Later in the top of the second inning, an RBI single by Maddison Bennett would help the Hounds cut the Lithia Springs lead to 2-1. In the top of the third, Jones County would explode with seven more runs as they would bat around the line up which would allow several batters to go 2-2 in the inning, including Destin Howard who's RBI double tied the game at 2-2 early on in the inning. The Hounds would go on to win game one by a final of 16-2 and they would take game two by a final of 8-2. Watch highlights from game one below now!
