Blessed Trinity Dethrones Defending Champs, St. Pius x To Capture GHSA 4A Volleyball State Champions

On Saturday, the defending Georgia High School Association Class 4A volleyball state champions, the St. Pius X Golden Lions took on the Blessed Trinity Titans. In set one of the match, the Golden Lions would find themselves down by as many as five points, but as Coach Allison Boes said, the Titans would stay loose and have fun, which would allow them to battle back and take set one 25-21.

Set two would also be close to the end but it would be the Titans rallying late to take the set 26-24. Inset three, with their backs against the wall, the defending champs would dominate has they would go on to win the set 25-15. But in set four, the Titans would get back to the form of the first two sets and the set would go to the wire, extending as Blessed Trinity would go on to win the set 27-25 to win the match up 3-1 and the 2019 GHSA 4A state championship.
