Alcovy Tops Bethlehem Christian Academy 80-59 In Thanksgiving Classic

On Saturday, the Alcovy Tigers boys basketball team was back in action one night after their 43 point win over Lamar County, taking on Bethlehem Christian Academy at the Douglas County Tigers annual Thanksgiving Classic.

The Tigers would open the game outscoring the Knights 9-3, but BCA would respond with an 11-2 run to take a 14-11 lead late in the first quarter. In the second period of action, the Tigers would settle in defensively and began applying traps Coach Mack Hardwick said they put in earlier in the week and they worked as Alcovy forced the Knights to have several turnovers which led to Tigers points and Alcovy regaining the lead. The Tigers defense would continue to cause problems for the Knights as Alcovy would go on to pick up the 80-59 win. Watch highlights from the game below now!
