Bongcaron, Collins Lead Brookwood To 55-42 Win Over Greater Atlanta Christian

On Monday, the Brookwood Broncos girls basketball team took on the Greater Atlanta Christian Spartans at the Holy Innocents annual MLK Classic. The game was a rematch from the last time the two teams met in December in which the Broncos edged the Spartans for a 34-30 win.

As Monday's game got underway, the two teams would exchange several baskets throughout the first quarter as the period would come to an end with Brookwood holding a 12-11 lead. However, in the second quarter, the Broncos would open up the period on a 10-2 run to take a 22-13 lead with Diana Collins (18 pts) and Mia Bongcaron (21 pts) leading the way for Brookwood. The Spartans zone defense appeared to have no answer in stopping Collins and Bongcaron as they would lead the Broncos to a 55-42 win. Watch highlights from the game below now!
