McIntosh Chiefs Secure Top Four Seed For Region Tournament With 47-45 Win Over Jonesboro Cardinals

On Friday, the Jonesboro Cardinals hosted the McIntosh Chiefs in the second part of their season series. The Cardinals were victorious the first time these two teams met and looked to duplicate their success in order to hold onto their first place position in the region standings, while the Chiefs would need a win to keep themselves in one of the top four places in the region standings.

McIntosh would go up by as many as 11 points in the first quarter,but the Cardinals would battle back to take a 28-27 lead at the half. In the the third quarter, the Cardinals would outscore Mcintosh 10-6 maintain their lead at the end of the period but in the fourth quarter, the Chiefs would force and score off several Jonesboro turnovers and regain the lead, going on to win by a final of 47-45.
