Bulldogs Clip Eagles As Washington Defeats BEST Academy To Advance In Region Tournament

On Tuesday, region tournaments around Georgia got underway and in the Georgia High School Association Class 2A Region 6 tournament, the Washington Bulldogs and BEST Academy Eagles faced each other in the opening round, their third meeting this season.

In the first quarter, the Bulldogs would go up by as many as 10 but the Eagles would battle back to close out the opening period trailing 17-12. In the second quarter, Washington would outscore BEST 19-11 to maintain their lead as they led 36-23 at the half.

In the second half, the Eagles would have several runs but would not manage to get within more than three points as Washington would go on to pick up the 72-57 win to advance to the second round of the tournament. Watch highlights from the game below now!
