GHSA Releases 2020 Football Schedule

This week, the Georgia High School Association released their 2020 football schedule with some notable Week 1 match ups. Several games will be a part of the annual Corky Kell Classic, which is the official kick off to the high school football season in Georgia. The classic will feature one of last season's surprise teams, the Denmark Greyhounds, who will take on Dekalb County powerhouse, the Tucker Tigers on Thursday, August 20th at 5:30PM. The classic will also feature a rematch from lat year's GHSA 7A quarter finals match between the McEachern Indians and the North Gwinnett Bulldogs, which the Bulldogs prevailed to advance to the semi-finals, on Saturday, August 22nd at 9PM. One of South Georgia's top programs, Lowndes will take on Alabama's Hoover in a battle of the border on Saturday, August 22 at 6PM. Other notable match ups include the defending GHSA 7A champs, the Marietta Blue Devils taking on Colquitt County on Friday, August 21 at. And speaking of Colquitt, former Packers head coach Rush Propst will return to the sidelines as the new head coach of the state's most winning program, the Valdosta Wildcats who will take on Warner Robins on Saturday, August 22nd.
