Chapel Hill Completes Season Series Sweep Over Lithia Springs With 85-53 Win

On Tuesday, the Chapel Hill Panthers and Lithia Springs Lions faced off in a region match up that held significance for each team. The Panthers came into the night tied with New Manchester in the region standings, however, New Manchester currently holds the tie breaker over Chapel Hill as they defeated the Panthers when the two teams met two weeks ago. Meanwhile, Lithia Springs cam into the night sitting in fourth place in the standings, so a win for them would allow them to maintain that position. As expected, the game was close early on as Chapel Hill led 14-10 at the end of the first quarter, but in the second quarter, the Panthers would put in a little distance between them and the Lions as they outscored Lithia Springs 21-12 to take a 35-25 lead into the locker room at the half. In the third quarter, although the Lions would keep a better pace with the Panthers, they were still outscored 26-20 and trailed 61-45 by the end of the period. In the fourth quarter, Chapel Hill would find their rhythm as they began to click on all cylinders offensively and defensively on their way to a 85-53 win and completing the season series sweep over Lithia Springs. With the win, Chapel Hill is now set up to face New Manchester on Saturday and with the win, they can move into first place in the region standings. Watch highlights from the game below now!
