Dunwood Boys, St. Pius Girls Win In Dual Meet, Wildcats Take Overall Meet
As the swimming and diving season heads into its final stretch of meets ahead of the Georgia High School Association state finals, the Dunwoody Wildcats hosted the St. Pius Golden Lions in a dual meet. The Golden Lions would get off to a solid start as they would take the first two in events, the boys and girls 200 Medley Relay. The Wildcats would respond with first and second place finishes in the boys 200 freestyle as Ryan Altera (1:53.68) and Nicholas Bragg (1:54.67) would take the top two finishes. The Same Pius girls would get the first and second place positions in the girls 200 freestyle as Samantha Feild (2:08.67) and freshman Claire Hennesy (2:08.89) would claim the two positions. As the meet went on, several events would see each team picking up first place finishes, which would be almost a foreshadow of how the meet results would be as the Dunwoody boys would win 155-126 and the St. Pius girls would win 148.50-132.50. However, the Wildcats would be victorious in the team win as they hauled in more points to beat St. Pius 287.50-274.50. Watch highlights from the meet below now!
