Eagles Grounded By Bulldogs Defense As Washington Defeats Columbia 31-0
In a key region match up, the Columbia Eagles hosted the Washington Bulldogs, with the Bulldogs looking to maintain pace in the region standings and hand the Eagles their first loss of the season. Washington wasted no time getting their offense into a groove early on as Bulldogs quarterback Monye Jones woulf throw three first have touchdowns, two of them to wide receiver, Ronnie West. The Washington defense would also play their roll in ensuring the team picked up the win, as they recovered three Columbia fumbles on the night. For Jones, he would end the night with five touchdown passess. In addition to the two thrown to West, he would throw two to Armani Tookes and one to Octavious Ford.
