On Thursday, the Westlake Lions hosted the Glynn Academy Terrors in a best of three series in the second round of the Georgia High School Association Class 6A state playoffs. In game one, the Terrors would get out to an early 4-0 lead in the top of the first inning. And by the top of the fourth, Glynn Academy would find themselves with a 9-1 lead thanks to their hot bats. They would go on to win game one by a final of 14-1.

In game two, the Lions would look to get some payback and would get things going by taking a 1-0 lead in the first inning thanks to a run batted in by Nate Leverette. The Terrors would tie things up 1-1 in the bottom of the first, but Westlake would regain the lead once again following an RBI single by Isaiah Drake and the Lions would go up 2-1. The Terrors would take their first lead of the game in the bottom of the second inning after a two single by Brady Davis as Glynn Academy would take a 3-2 lead.
