Holy Innocents Edges Rival Pace Academy 16-15 In Non-Region Match Up

On Tuesday the Pace Academy Knights girls lacrosse team hosted rival, the Holy Innocents Golden Bears in a non-region match up. The Knights would open up the match taking an early 5-2 lead but the Knights would go on a 5-1 run to take a 7-6 lead late in the first half, but a pair of back to back free shot position goals by Pace would put them back on top as they lead 8-7 at the break.

The Knights would open up the second half striking first taking a 9-7 lead thanks to a Sydney Vincent goal courtesy of a free position shot, but the Golden Bears would respond with a goal of their own to make it a 9-8 game in favor of the Knights. Down the stretch, Holy Innocents would outscore Pace Academy 8-7 to pick up the 16-15 win. With the win, Holy Innocents snaps their two game losing streak. Watch highlights from the game below now!
