'I'm with the Noles', Milton's CJ Wiley chooses FSU over Georgia and LSU
And then there was one. On Tuesday, Milton Eagles wide receiver, CJ Wiley announced his commitment to continue his academic and athletic career with the Florida State Seminoles, who beat out Georgia and LSU for the 4-star recruit. “I did just did my checklist,” Wiley said of his decision to join Mike Norvell and the Seminoles, who checked all the boxes, a decision even his parents had to wait until Tuesday to learn.
“I’ve been there numerous times and I just have a feeling every time I go to FSU, it just feels like home. Coach Norvell, he greets me well and that really just sets the tone,” the 6-foot-4, 195 pound wide receiver told reports about his visits to Tallahassee following his announcement. And now with his commitment behind him, Wiley looks to lock in on his senior season, which he is ready to do.
“I was really trying to focus on the season and keep getting that work in every day,” Wiley said of being able to move forward, however he noted that he is fully aware that programs will still attempt to lure him away from the Seminoles. “Other schools can still try to recruit me, but I’m with the Noles,” Wiley firm said when asked about programs hoping to get the Milton product to recruit
